Why this exists

The industry built a sea of sameness. This room is the alternative.

Destination marketing has spent a decade running on the same playbook. Same agency briefs. Same vendor pitches. Same KPIs. Same campaigns with different city names dropped in.

The good operators — the President/CEOs, the CMOs, the VPs of Marketing actually moving destinations forward — know this. They have been quietly looking for a smaller, sharper room where they can be honest about what is working, what is not, what they are testing, and what is breaking.

That room has not existed in destination marketing. DMO Jam is the room.

What members get

Six things. Every member. Every year.

01 / Forum

Your monthly Forum

Eight to eleven peer operators meeting monthly. Real peer dialogue. One member takes the Hot Seat each month — bringing a real challenge for the room to respond to. No facilitator. No curriculum. Just operators working on each other’s hardest problems.

02 / Cohort Summits

Quarterly Summits

Four times a year, the full cohort comes together for a half-day marquee event (~4 hours). Guest experts. Cross-Forum signal sharing. Adam hosts. These are the events members clear schedules for.

03 / Retreats

Yearly Retreats

One retreat a year. Boutique venue. Two and a half days with the full cohort in a destination worth visiting. The strongest relationships in the program are built here.

04 / 1:1s

1:1s with Adam

Two 30-minute one-on-one calls with Adam each year. Strategic, confidential, member-led agenda. Adam is the curator, the host, the operator-in-chief — these calls are how the program stays personal.

05 / Library

A library that compounds

Every session — Forum, Summit, guest, retreat — produces a delivered asset package within 48 hours. Recording. Searchable transcript. Written takeaways. How-tos. Technologies mentioned. By year-end, you have a library you can hand to your team.

06 / Between Summits

Adam’s voice, between events

A monthly digest from Adam — “What the room is testing” — synthesizes anonymized signal from all Forums. Bi-weekly Adam-curated content drops keep the cadence between live events. The program never goes quiet.

Who DMO Jam is for

Senior operators only. Not everyone.

This is for you if

  • You are President/CEO of a DMO or CVB.
  • You are Chief Marketing Officer or VP of Marketing at a top-tier destination marketing organization.
  • You are a Director of Marketing at a major DMO with senior strategic authority and a meaningful budget.
  • You are senior enough to be honest about what is not working — and to want a peer room that earns the honesty back.
  • You are willing to show up, bring problems, and offer answers in return.

This is not for you if

  • You are a coordinator, manager, or specialist. The room only works at the senior level.
  • You are a vendor or service provider looking to access destination marketing leaders.
  • You are looking for a passive consumption experience. DMO Jam is reciprocal.
  • You are unwilling to commit to monthly Forum attendance, yearly retreats, and twelve months.

If that’s you, the room is open. Applications close when the cohort fills.

How the year works

22 structured moments. Plus a library that never goes quiet.

A 12-month membership. The cadence is built so members can plan their year around it. Heavier than a loose peer group. Lighter than an executive coaching program.

Every month

90-minute Forum session — your Forum, 8–11 peers, member-led.

Every two weeks

Adam-curated content drop — article, framework, short note, podcast pick.

Every month

Monthly digest from Adam — “What the room is testing” — anonymized signal from across all Forums.

Quarterly

Half-day Cohort Summit (~4 hours) — full cohort, marquee event, guest expert.

Twice a year

Two 30-minute one-on-one calls with Adam — strategic, confidential, member-led.

Once a year

1.5-day in-person retreat — boutique venue, full cohort, no laptops.

Year-round

Members-only library and community — searchable, tagged, compounding.

Who runs DMO Jam

Adam Stoker hosts the room.

Adam built DMO Jam because the room he wanted to be in for a decade did not exist. Now it does.

President & CEO, Brand Revolt · Host, DMO Jam

Adam Stoker

17 years in advertising. 10 years specifically in destination marketing. Host of the Destination Marketing Podcast (200+ episodes, the longest-running podcast in the industry). Co-host of Destination Discourse with Stuart Butler of Visit Myrtle Beach. Host of CMO Jam.

Board member, One West Tourism Alliance Education & Research Foundation. Regular keynote speaker at ESTO, Destinations International, MATPRA, and state tourism conferences. Author of Touchpoints (2020). Pursuing CDME certification. Featured in Utah Business’s “40 Under 40.”

DMO Jam and Brand Revolt

A Brand Revolt program. BR does not pitch inside the room.

Brand Revolt operates DMO Jam and earns the membership fee. But the room itself is sacred. Adam does not pitch BR services inside Forum sessions, Cohort Summits, the community channel, or retreats. Ever. Members who want to engage Brand Revolt as a client have that conversation in a separate context, on a separate call, outside the DMO Jam membership.

The rule, plainly

Trust is the whole product.

Peer dialogue only works in a room where members trust the host is not selling them anything. The moment members suspect the program is a sales funnel for the host’s agency, the program is over.

It is the most important rule we have. We will hold it tightly. If you would not believe us on it, do not apply.

Frequently asked

The questions we get most.

How much does it cost?
We share pricing when we acknowledge your application. Members pay an annual fee in advance, billed via Stripe. There is a founding-cohort rate and a standard rate. Founding members benefit from phased pricing across the first few renewal years.
How long is the commitment?
Twelve months from your start date. Members reapply each year — renewal is not automatic. Adam reaches out personally at the 90-day-before-renewal mark with one of three signals: continue, talk first, or not the right fit for next year.
How big is the cohort?
Capped at 50 members in Year 1 and 60 from Year 2 onward. Members are organized into Forums of 8–11 peers each.
How are Forums put together?
Adam assigns Forum composition annually, balancing region, role mix (CEO/CMO/VP), and DMO type. Forums stay stable for the program year so trust has time to build.
What is the application process?
You submit a short application. Within seven days, you hear back with a status. If you advance, we contact two peer references you provide. Adam reviews completed packets weekly during the founding cohort build and bi-weekly after. We decline more applications than we accept — most declines are about the mix of the room, not the quality of the applicant.
Can my organization sponsor my membership?
Yes. Most members invoice through their organization. The membership and the Member Agreement are between Brand Revolt and you personally, however — confidentiality and the four member rules attach to the member, not the org.
Do you offer payment plans?
Default no. Available only by exception with Adam’s explicit approval. Where approved, terms are quarterly with a $500 administrative uplift.
What if I miss a Forum or Summit?
The library captures every session — recording, transcript, takeaways, how-tos, technologies mentioned. You will not miss the content. But you will miss the live dialogue, which is the heart of the program. Three missed Forum sessions in a row triggers a personal call from Adam. Six missed in a year is a renewal conversation.
Is there a refund policy?
Default no refund. Pro-rata refunds at Adam’s discretion only, in cases of serious illness, family emergency, or involuntary job loss.
Can vendors join?
No. DMO Jam is for senior leaders inside destination marketing organizations. Vendors, service providers, and agencies — including Brand Revolt — do not have members in the room.
